given that “dinagyang”is the best but take note “ati-atihan” also is also one of the best festivities here in philippines..why dont come and visit “ati-atihan” and try to mingle with the persons performing..maybe you will never notice that your already dancing to the beat of the lyres and drums..the main distinction of ati-atihan at dinagyang was you can move freely,dance freely unlike dinagyang which is choreographically done..at ati-atihan you will never notice that your feet is tired of dancing(only you can find out you have already roamed the whole route of sadsad)when your feet aches but then there is somewhat urge for you to still continue to dance..:) so guys i want you to come in kalibo and dance with the ati tribes..experiencing is far better than just seeing pics and reading blogs and post regarding ati-atihan..
Relane,actually nakapunta nakami oo wild sya at maka join ka sa mga dancer pero hindi naman yon ang gust ko eh at very dis-organized sya puedi yon kong pala inum ka at gusto mo ng banda rito banda roon na sayawan punt ka sa ati-atihan ang gusto ko ya ang well organized at mapa WOW ako sa performances ng palabas at hindi ako ang sasayaw yong ma entertain ang mata ko at bongga ang dating sa competition kaya nga hindi sumasali ang ati-atihan dahil hanggang ganyan lang angsayaw sayaw nila at sawa na ako niyan soory gusto ko mag enjoy ng panood at ilike Dinagyang so much of Iloilo World-Class at kahit anong sabi mo na world class ang ati-atihan mo at hindi naman. Hindi ako taga Iloilo ha pero gusto ko lang kasi ang mapa WOW ang mata ko at magenjoy ang puso ko sa super na ganda na performance ng competitions sa Dinagyang ng Iloilo at yan ang katotohanan kapatid.

mas maganda ang pagamit ng drum o tambol sa festival sa pilipinas kasi yun talaga ang orig, at marami talagang ilonggo sa bacolod ang namangha sa perfromance ng mantawi festival nung nag guest sila sa maskarra nung isang taon kasi tambol gamit nila.
whahahaaha of course late civilized ung cebu kasi nung 1500 sya nasakop ng spain compared sa aklan antique capiz na mga 1200 sya na pugaran ng matagal…at nung mga 1800 sa kalibo lang nakastay ng matagal ang mga spaniards…agad din napaalis.. na binisita lang ung aklan at agad napaalis sila ng mga datu….ung iloilo at cebu nacivilize ng spain mga 1800 at masyadong naimpluwensyahan….. compared sa aklan na di basta bastang nasasakop dahil sa napakadaming datu kada town…
Im from russia and ive been to aklan and we took a tour all over the province and i must say that every popular place in the philippines can also be found in aklan like beaches, mangrooves caves falls wildest rivers, springs,,its great there..! I have also attended the ati atihan and dancing is great there you can feel the essence of the festival….
napuntahan ko na ung top 5 na yan at masasabi ko lang ung dinagyang ok sa choreography, sa sinulog madami lang silang pera pero nung nandun kami sa ati atihan festival for 5 days na pag sasayaw araw gabi sa kalsada di mo talga mararamdaman ung pagod..at iba ung feeling nakaka kilabot kung may faith ka lang sa sto nino…astig din ung mga uli uling nila..grabeh ang ganda dyan..may promoton lang kasi ung cebu at dinagyang….pero may ati atihan nga sa ibang bansa eh ganun kasikat ang ati atihan
